Mud ejectors fight build-up in the tread, aiding self-cleaning and helping prevent damage from stone drills. Open shoulder blocks feature an alternating stepped design that can enhance traction in loose terrain.
The Open Country R/T Trail combines functional and aggressive, thanks to a varied pitch pattern for a quiet and comfortable experience. Deep, wide grooves allow easy water evacuation from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance, while sipes and block edges aid traction in slippery conditions.
The polyester casing of the Open Country R/T Trail improves durability, and alongside the jointless bead wire, improves handling stability and consistency. The thick, durable sidewall compound helps prevent cuts, snags, and penetrations off road, while the rim protector helps guard against the perils of the city.
The extra thick upper sidewall design enhances traction in deep terrain or during aired-down operation. Two wide, high-strength steel belts are reinforced with two jointless spiral cap plies to further increase strength and handling.
